Short circuits between phase and earth can result in irreversible damage to networks and equipment. Earthing resistors from HEINE Resistors limit the fault current that arises between phase and earth as a result of short circuits.
HEINE offers special, project-specific versions in addition to its standard range of Neutral earthing resistors. The following technical data is required for design an neutral earthing resistor:
1. Operating voltage
2. Fault current
3. Fault duration (normally 10 seconds)
Our neutral earthing resistors are manufactured as follows:
1. Protection class: IP00 – IP55 (standard: IP23)
2. Stainless-steel housing (1.4301) for outdoor applications or galvanized steel for indoor applications (other materials are available on request)
3. Inclusion of additional components (e.g. vacuum switches, current and voltage transformers, load disconnectors)
